The Helix Alumni Committee, which is part of the Helix Foundation, works to provide support to our alma mater through giving back to the school with our efforts. We sponsor a yearly All Classes (and current students) Picnic on campus the second Sunday in October. All alumni, students, former and current staff and families are invited to gather for an afternoon of reconnecting, touring the school, enjoying a car show, and supporting the students. We have raised money through fundraisers for drum heads, refurbished the mascot Scottie costume, purchased a freezer for the instrumental program, and refurbished the gym foyer trophy cabinets. We also connect alumni with excess Tartan yearbooks that they can purchase to help raise money for the school. We have a rich history, beginning with the opening of our school in 1952, and want to continue our efforts to help our alumni support Helix Charter High School.
